-Ducati Scrambler 1100 Pro and Pro Sport coming soon
-To be unveiled at 2020 Ducati Premiere
-Likely to be off-road focused models
The Ducati Scrambler 1100 range which consists of the standard model, Scrambler 1100 Special and Scrambler 1100 Sport. will consist of two more models by the end of this year.
According to documents from the US emission agency, the two upcoming models are the Scrambler 1100 Pro and Scrambler 1100 Pro Sport. The filings reveal that the two bikes will be powered by the same 1079cc, L-twin motor that produce 83bhp and 88Nm. However, it is unclear what sets them apart from the existing range. But given that the only off-road-capable motorcycle in the entire Scrambler range is the Desert Sled, we expect the Scrambler 1100 Pro and Scrambler 1100 Sport to be built on the same lines. The bikes could come with dual-purpose tyres, spoke wheels and long-travel suspension. The 1100 Pro Sport could additionally offer higher-spec Ohlins suspension hardware.
The two bikes, if off-road focused, could be a direct answer to Triumph’s Scrambler 1200. Ducati will unveil the Scrambler 1100 Pro and Pro Sport at the 2020 Ducati Premiere this October. We can expect the Italian manufacturer to launch the motorcycle in India by early 2020.
