Ducati has launched the Scrambler 1100 range in India starting at Rs 10.91 lakhs. At a similar price, there are around half a dozen cruisers, some modern classics, a couple of streetfighters and an adventure tourer you can choose from. Here are the list of the motorcycles that you can buy at a price similar to the Scrambler 1100.
Harley-Davidson offers three cruiser motorcycles. There is the Roadster at Rs 11.43 lakhs, the Forty-Eight at Rs 11.04 lakhs and the 1200 Custom at Rs 10.65 lakhs. All bikes are powered by the same 1202cc, V-Twin engine that is rated at 96Nm of torque. Indian has its smallest cruiser offering in the form of the Scout Sixty which is priced at Rs 11.10 lakhs. The bike uses a 999cc V-twin mill that develops 78bhp and 88Nm of torque. The manufacturer also has the Scout Bobber that retails at Rs 12.37 lakhs. It is based on the standard Scout and shares its 1133cc V-twin with the former. This unit produces 100bhp and 97Nm of torque.
You can opt for two cruiser motorcycles from Triumph’s stables. There is the Bonneville Bobber and Bonneville Speedmaster priced at Rs 10.38 lakhs and Rs 11.41 lakhs respectively. Both motorcycles shares the same 1200cc parallel-twin motor that puts out 76bhp and 106Nm of torque.
Triumph also has two modern classics on offer; the Bonneville T120 and the Thruxton R. The T120 retails at Rs 10.08 lakhs and is powered by a 1200cc parallel-twin engine. This unit produces 78.9bhp and 105Nm of torque. The Thruxton R also uses a similar engine setup. However, its 1200cc parallel-twin unit produces a higher 96bhp and 112Nm of torque. The bike retails at Rs 11.92 lakhs.
There also is an adventure touring bike on offer. The Triumph Tiger 800 XR will cost you 11.89 lakhs. Its 800cc, inline-three engine puts out 94bhp and 79Nm of torque. The British manufacturer also has a streetfighter in this price range; the Street Triple RS at Rs 11.13 lakhs. It uses a 765cc, inline-three motor that produces 121bhp and 77Nm of torque. Another streetfighter that you could choose is the Yamaha MT-09 which retails at Rs 10.88 lakhs. It uses a 847cc inline-three engine that puts out 112bhp and 87.5Nm of torque.
