Ducati Scrambler Café Racer launched in India at Rs 9.32 lakhs

Ducati has launched the Scrambler Café Racer in India at Rs 9.32 lakhs (ex-showroom). Targeted at classic motorcycle enthusiasts, the Scrambler Café Racer is the most expensive variant of the Scrambler to be sold in India. 

The new Scrambler Café Racer has a retro appeal, accentuated by its short fly screen, clip-on handlebars, cafe racer seat with a removable cowl for the rear seat, black coffee paint colour and gold wheels. It even gets an aggressive front-biased riding position. It rides on golden 17-inch cast aluminium wheels with Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres. 

At the heart of the Scrambler Café Racer is the same 803cc air-cooled L-twin engine which delivers 74bhp and 68Nm of torque through a six-speed transmission. Suspension duties are handled by fully-adjustable 41mm inverted front forks and a preload adjustable rear monoshock. 

The Scrambler has proven to be a successful platform for Ducati. The Café Racer is an attempt by Ducati to provide a bike to match the personality of different kinds of riders and cater to a wider audience. It competes against the Triumph Bonneville T100 and the Harley-Davidson Iron 883.
