Ducati India has teased the Streetfighter V4 SP via its social media handles ahead of the motorcycle’s launch in our market. This variant sits on top of the Streetfighter V4 range and it packs premium hardware over the standard version. Here we tell you what to expect from the India-bound Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP.
Better Hardware
As mentioned earlier, this variant of the Ducati Streetfighter V4 family gets top-spec hardware. The suspension, for example, uses Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active setup. The braking department benefits from Brembo-sourced hardware and the front uses the top-spec Brembo Stylema R callipers. Furthermore, the SP version uses five split-spoke carbon rims that are 1.4kg lighter than the forged aluminum units on the standard Streetfighter V4 S. These units are claimed to reduce the inertia by 26 per cent at the front and 46 per cent at the rear. Other hardware unique to this variant includes adjustable aluminum and CNC-machined footpegs, carbon front mudguard, lithium-ion battery, and a range of track-only accessories.
Styling
The design of the Streetfighter V4 SP is identical to the standard motorcycle. However, this version stands apart through the “Winter Test” livery that takes inspiration from the Ducati Corse motorcycles used in MotoGP and SBK Championships pre-season tests. The livery brings Matte Black treatment to fairing along with a Matte Carbon finish on rims and wings. The styling is further enhanced through bright red accents and a sparkling brushed aluminium fuel tank. The progressive number is printed on the handlebar while the carbon wings feature an Italian flag colour scheme.
Engine
The mechanical specifications retain the 1,103cc, V4-cylinder, liquid-cooled Desmosedici Stradale engine that makes a praiseworthy 208bhp and 123Nm of peak torque. However, unlike the standard model, the SP variant uses the STM-EVO SBK dry clutch. The dry clutch is claimed to deliver a better anti-hopping function.
Expected Price and Availability
The new Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP will be launched in our market next month. It will be available in limited numbers and carry a premium price tag over the other variants. The Streetfighter V4 and the Streetfighter V4 S, for reference, are priced at Rs 21.04 lakh and Rs 24.24 lakh, respectively (both prices are ex-showroom).
