- Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP teased
- Official India launch next week
- Gets top-shelf components
Ducati has teased the arrival of the Streetfighter V4’s top-spec SP trim ahead of its India launch. Interestingly, our sources have also revealed that the motorcycle will be launched in India next week, on 1 July 2022.
Being the top-end variant of the Streetfighter V4, the SP trim is loaded with top-shelf equipment. Firstly, the beautifully crafted bodywork is loaded with carbon fibre which only makes its Winter Test livery even more special. The hardware package is equally premium with BST carbon fibre wheels, Brembo’s Stylema R calipers, a dry STM slipper clutch, and Ohlins SMART 2.0 EC suspension.
Thanks to a lot of carbon fibre and other weight-saving measures, the motorcycle weighs 3.17kg and 1kg lesser than the standard and S models, respectively, thereby delivering a better power-to-weight ratio. Moreover, there are anodised footpegs and levers, and easily removable gear-shifter linkage for installing the GP shifter. The engine, meanwhile, is the same 1103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine with a claimed 208bhp and 122Nm of peak torque.
The Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP will come to India in limited numbers and with a price tag much higher than other variants to maintain its exclusivity. The standard and S trims of the Streetfighter V4 cost Rs 21.04 lakh and Rs 24.24 lakh, respectively (both prices are ex-showroom).
