- Teaser video shows top view of Streetfighter V4’s headlamp featuring LED DRL
- V4 Desmosedici Stradale motor powering the naked will put out 205bhp at 12,750rpm
- Will feature high handlebar, biplane wings, 178kg dry weight and no fairing
With only a week left for the Ducati World Premiere 2020 which is slated to be held on 23 October, the Italian bike maker has released a short teaser video of the much-awaited Streetfighter V4. The video clip has been posted on the brand’s social media account revealing the top view of the hyper-naked’s front end that features the headlamp assembly with a bright LED DRL. It is followed by a list of features and specifications of the motorcycle.
The text mentions about the same Desmosedici Stradale V4 mill that powers the current Panigale V4 but has been tuned differently to produce a max power of 205bhp at 12,750rpm. Besides that, the naked Streetfighter V4 will not feature any fairing. Instead it will be equipped with biplane wings, like the ones seen on the prototype version of the bike ridden by the late Carlin Dunne at this year’s Pikes Peak Hill Climb. Furthermore, the motorcycle will have a high-set handlebar to better suit its character while tipping the scale at 178kg which presumably is the dry weight considering the Panigale V4 S weighs 195kg (kerb).
The video confirms that the upcoming Streetfighter V4 will get the Panigale V4’s electronics suite including the different riding modes and rider aids along with the TFT colour instrument console. Expect the motorcycle to feature top-spec cycle parts for suspension and braking just like its faired sibling.
