- Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP likely to be unveiled soon
- Could get similar upgrades as Panigale V4 SP
- Is likely to be launched in India in limited numbers
Ducati is likely to be working on a top-spec Streetfighter V4 SP variant, filings from USA’s Environmental Protection Agency have revealed. This SP variant will be sold alongside the Streetfighter V4 and Streetfighter V4 S versions.
Now, the certification confirms that the upcoming Streetfighter V4 SP will get the same 1103cc, V4 engine as the rest of the range, with 205bhp and 123Nm. However, it does not reveal the difference between the SP and the other Streetfighter models. For the uninitiated, Ducati adds the ‘SP’ or ‘Sport Production’ to models with an exhaustive list of technical upgrades to make it quicker on a racetrack.
And since the most recent ‘SP’ version to be launched was the Panigale V4 SP, it hints at all the upgrades one can expect from the Streetfighter V4 SP. So, it is likely to sport lightweight carbon fiber wheels, race-spec Brembo Stylema R calipers, and a top-of-the-line Brembo 19.21 master cylinder. Moreoever, just like the Panigale V4 SP, the Streetfighter V4 SP could get some more billet and anodized aluminum as well as carbon fiber components.
Lastly, the Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP would also feature a special livery to stand out from the crowd. While there is no confirmation on when Ducati will unveil the motorcycle, it is likely to be sold as a 2022 model worldwide. We can expect it to make its way to India in limited numbers and a price tag higher than the Streetfighter V4 S that retails at Rs 22.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
