Ducati has finally launched one of the most powerful street bikes across the globe, the Streetfighter V4, in India. The motorcycle is nearly as loaded with exoticness as its Panigale V4 sibling, barring the fairing. Pardon the rhyming, but the point is - as ballistic it is as a whole package, its pricing between Rs 19.99-22.99 lakh is equally premium. And if you’re wondering what the similarly-priced alternatives are, keep on reading.
Kawasaki Z H2: Rs 21.90-25.90 lakh
The Streetfighter faces tough competition from the supercharged Kawasaki Z H2. This is the naked version of the Ninja H2 and has all the traits to set the roads on fire. This isn’t a frivolous glorification as the Z H2’s 998cc, inline-four motor puts out a whopping 197.2bhp and 137Nm. Needless to say, it comes loaded to the brim with rider aids like a bi-directional quick shifter, riding modes, power modes, traction control, and what not!
BMW S 1000 XR: Rs 21.30 lakh
If you’re more into munching long miles but don’t want to compromise on engine performance, the BMW S 1000 XR is perfect. Its touring ethos make sure your back doesn’t hurt even after a full day’s ride while the 999cc, inline-four engine performs the duty of heightening the adrenaline at every twist of the throttle. And similar to the aforementioned Japanese and Italian offerings, the XR too impresses with its electronic wizardry.
Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic: Rs 21.49 lakh
For some, none of the aforementioned motorcycling genres might be their cup of tea. Instead, they would like to cruise in style while being cocooned in a bubble of a loud V-twin thump. For such riders, the Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic would be an ideal purchase. A vintage cruiser styling, laidback ergonomics, a couple of storage provisions, and a 1,868cc engine with oodles of torque are some of the traits of the Heritage Classic.
