Ducati India will soon update its portfolio with the launch of the BS6-compliant SuperSport 950. While we await a launch announcement, here we tell you what to expect from the upcoming Ducati SuperSport 950.
Variants
Internationally, Ducati offers the SuperSport 950 in two variants – Standard and S. The S variant of the motorcycle benefits from a fully adjustable Ohlins suspension setup and a passenger seat cover as standard. The base model, on the other hand, uses 43mm USD Marzocchi front forks and a Sachs mono-shock at the back. We could see both variants in the Indian market.
Design
The latest iteration of the Ducati SuperSport 950 draws styling cues from the Panigale V4. Thus, the new SuperSport 950 comes with a new full-LED headlight along with two fins and air intakes at the front. The styling revisions also bring a sportier fairing to the motorcycle. Other styling cues include a muscular fuel tank, a tall windscreen, rear-view mirror integrated front turn indicators, a step-up saddle, and a twin-pod exhaust outlet. The SuperSport 950 is built around a trellis frame that uses the engine as a stressed element.
Features
The feature list on the 2021 model includes a 4.3-inch full-TFT display, a single-sided swingarm, raised handlebars, revised seat, three-spoke 'Y' aluminium wheels, and the Pirelli Diablo Rosso 3 tyres.
Engine
Mechanical specifications on the latest iteration of the motorcycle include a 937cc, L-twin cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Paired to a six-speed transmission, the engine churns out 108.6bhp of power at 9,000rpm and 93Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm.
Expected Price
The updated model should carry a price premium over its predecessor that was available at Rs 12.08 lakh (ex-showroom). We expect the new model to arrive in the Rs 13-13.5 lakh ex-showroom range.
