Ducati teases another X video; scooter in the offing?

Ducati has released yet another teaser video of one of the nine products that will be unveiled around 2015 EICMA. Just a few days ago, the Italian manufacturer released their first teaser which was marketed around the ‘Black’ concept.

In this new teaser video, the company has put focus on the letter ‘X’, which is a new marketing initiative by the Italian company. Their website has been redesigned to match this theme. The letter ‘X’ is shown in various slides of the video but it is still vague, just like the last video. However, the video ends with three words – 'Low Speed Excitement' and this makes things very interesting.

First of all, Ducati makes fast and beautiful bikes. Anything related to the word ‘low speed’ has no relation to any of the products in its portfolio. But Ducati said that out of the nine models, which will be unveiled in the next few weeks, two models will bring Ducati into segments that it is not present in. And this is where the scooter comes into picture. Earlier this year, the top honcho of Ducati showed his interest in the scooter segment and looks like this could become a reality. Scooters aren’t fast and that’s why big, premium two-wheeler manufacturers shy away from developing one. 

We are quite excited to see this model at the 2015 EICMA Show. Low Speed Excitement? Well, the Ducati scooter could make things really interesting. But don’t these three words describe the nature of electric bikes as well?
