Ducati is planning to add three more dealerships to its existing network of five dealerships before the end of 2017.
Ducati’s current network stretches across five cities – Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Pune and Ahmedabad. The Italian marque is further planning to add Kochi, Hyderabad and Kolkata to this list. Targeting an audience aged between 25 years and 45 years, Ducati has been successful in capitalising on the company’s rich lineage with the quintessential aspirational value that Italian brands command. The company has also been aggressive with its product launches, having introduced the Multistrada 1200 S, Multistrada Pikes Peak, Multistrada Enduro, Panigale 959 and the XDiavel in this year. It also has plans to launch the Hyperstrada 939 and the Hypermotard 939 in the next few weeks, with prices starting at Rs 11.09 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
Speaking to the media during the launch of the XDiavel, Ravi Avalur, Managing Director, Ducati India said, "The next dealership will come up at Kochi. In 2017, we are planning three more dealerships. We are optimistic about the increased disposable income of customers in India. Our customers are in the age group of 25-45 years, with varied financial background. The passion for premium and superbikes is driving demand."
