Just like last year, Ducati plans to go aggressive with India launch plans in 2018. The Italian maker will launch four new bikes in the country this year.
The company made this announcement through a release which talks about its three years of operations in India. The Italian maker didn’t mention the bikes they plan to launch. But a quick look at their global unveils gives us the answer. Ducati could launch the new Monster 821, the Multistrada 1260, the Scrambler 1100 and the Panigale V4 S in the following months.
All these bikes will be launched as completely-built-up (CBU) units, imported from their Thailand facility. The Monster 821 was discontinued when the industry moved to BS-IV norms last year. But the 2018 edition doesn’t just meet the emission norms, but also offers more style and technology. The Multistrada 1260 is an upgrade to the current Multistrada 1200, and the Panigale V4 S, their flagship model. Then there’s also their brand new Scrambler 1100 which helps Ducati get more buyers.
The company will also introduce Ducati Riding Experience (DRE) for its customers this year. However, we’re expecting Ducati to start with only level 1, where training will be provided in enclosed area and not on a race track.
