BikeWale recently reported that Ducati India had temporarily halted sales of some of its models owing to non-conformity to the new BS-IV emission norms. The company has now announced that it plans to launch the Euro 4 variants of the Ducati Scrambler range, the Monster 821 and the Diavel in India, latest by October this year. The bookings for these models have already commenced.
The Euro 4 versions of the Scrambler Icon and the Scrambler Classic however are already available and the deliveries for these will begin in July. Another member of the Scrambler family, the Full Throttle, will be made available from September 2017. The Euro 4 version of the limited edition Ducati Diavel Diesel meanwhile will make its way to India in August with the stock Diavel and the Monster 821 due in October.
With a change in government regulations and the Indian automotive industry’s move to BS-IV emission norms since 1 April 2017, Ducati India was forced to temporarily discontinue the BS-III variants of these motorcycles.
