Ducati has announced that it will officially launch its operations in India on June 19. While Ducati has been selling its entire range of motorcycles since the last couple of months, the Italian marque will hold an official launch event in Gurgaon, which will mark the official commencement of the deliveries of its motorcycles.
Ducati offers its entire line-up of naked motorcycles, sports cruisers and superbikes in the Indian market, right from the Scrambler to the Panigale R. It currently has three showrooms in India in Mumbai, Delhi and Gurgaon. Initially, Ducati will import its motorcycles through the completely built unit (CBU) route, though it might eventually start assembling them through the completely knocked down (CKD) kits depending upon the response.
Ducati lost the customers’ faith the last time as they were let down by the poor sales and service network, which led them to halt their operations in India. This time around, Ducati has taken its own time to come up with a sturdy sales, distribution and service network. Existing owners of Ducati motorcycles can breathe a sigh of relief too as the company revealed that they will provide service support to existing customers too.
