- 2019 Diavel 1260S will be unveiled at 2018 EICMA
- Built around new frame, gets revised XDiavel’s engine
- Will come to India next year
Ducati is all set to showcase its new motorcycle, the 2019 Diavel 1260 S at the upcoming EICMA show. The company gave a sneak peak of this Italian to a few publications at the recently concluded World Ducati Week in Misano.
Called the Project 1309, this Diavel is built around a new frame. The wheelbase is now longer, but the company claims the bike is a lot more nimble. The rake angle is steeper at 27 degrees. The bike will be equipped with top-class equipment like fully-adjustable Ohlins suspension, Brembo Monoblock brakes.
The bike will use a retuned version of XDiavel’s V-Twin motor which uses variable valve timing to allow top and bottom-end power. This motor will be mated to a six-speed gearbox which will have bi-directional quickshifter. Just like a few Ducati bikes, this one too will get top of the line electronics like launch and wheelie control, traction control and six-axis IMU. The instrument cluster will have Bluetooth feature to connect with a smartphone.
