The Ducati 916 can be touted as one of the most beautiful superbikes to have ever rolled out of the Italian manufacturer’s Bologna factory. The motorcycle has been a bedroom poster for many enthusiasts thanks to its stylish single-sided swingarm, twin underseat exhaust canisters and the squared-off dual headlamps. Now, 25 years after the supersport made its debut, Ducati has teased a Limited-Edition Panigale V4 to commensurate this icon. With production limited to only 500 units worldwide, the 916-inspired Panigale V4 is set to be officially unveiled on 12 July by four times world champion (with Ducati in the 1990s), Carl Fogarty, during the American round of the Superbike championship at Laguna Seca.
Each motorcycle will be christened with an individually numbered 'Panigale V4 25° Anniversario 916' itching on the upper triple clamp in order to maintain its exclusivity. Moreover, the bikes will be offered in original livery along with racing components. More details of the motorcycle will be available, post its official unveiling tomorrow.
Following the unveiling of the motorcycle, to further pay tribute to the 916, Aruba.it Racing-Ducati team riders, Álvaro Bautista and Chaz Davies will be seen competing in the World SBK Laguna Seca race on bikes with a special livery inspired by the graphics of the Panigale V4 25° Anniversario 916.
