Ducati has unveiled a special 100th anniversary kit for the Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak. This aftermarket package will be limited to just 400 units and includes a slew of cosmetic upgrades marking the centenary anniversary of the iconic hill climb challenge.
The 100th anniversary kit comes with a personalised Pikes Peak ‘100’ race number plate, sponsor logos, Pikes Peak 100th Anniversary logo for the crankcase, Spider Grips PEAK grips and a special decal pack. Apart from these the bike also gets all the bells and whistles from the Pikes Peak edition which includes sophisticated fully-adjustable Ohlins USD forks and rear suspension, Termignoni exhaust system and a carbon fibre windshield. It also gets a splendid dual-tone livery inspired by Ducati’s racing colours.
The Ducati Multistrada 1200 holds the record for the fastest petrol-powered motorcycle at the Pikes Peak. Under the command of Carlin Dunne, the motorcycle registered a time of 9 minutes, 53 seconds back in 2012, breaking the 10-minute barrier and setting a record that still stands. The Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak Anniversary special edition celebrates this feat along with the 100th anniversary of the Pikes Peak hill climb challenge.
