- MIG-RR is a mountain e-bike
- Co-developed by Ducati and Thok Ebikes
- Will be officially unveiled at 2018 EICMA
Ducati has just announced its first e-bike, the MIG-RR. This two-wheeler is an electric mountain bike that has been co-developed by Ducati Design Centre and Thok Ebikes, an Italian company.
This e-mtb will be officially revealed to the world at the upcoming 2018 EICMA Show in Italy. This e-bike gets its power from a Shimano Steps E8000 motor. The 504Wh battery is located at the lower tube of the frame to keep the centre of gravity as low as possible. There’s no news on the riding range or the charging time which we think will be revealed next week.
Just like Ducati does it to its bikes, it has equipped some top-class components on the MIG-RR e-bike as well. It gets some enduro motorcycle inspired features like Mavic wheels and the Fox Factory Kashima suspension setup. It also sports carbon fibre Renthal handlebars 4-caliper Shimano Saint braking system and an 11-speed Shimano XT gear set.
The bookings for the Ducati MIG-RR e-bike will begin from January 2019 through online channels. The deliveries will begin a few months after that. This Ducati is unlikely to come to India as of now, as there’s no market for such high-end e-mtb in the country.
