- Scrambler Icon gets a dark theme
- No mechanical changes
- India launch likely sometime next year
The 2019 Ducati World Premiere witnessed the unveiling of a new addition to the Scrambler family. Christened the Scrambler Icon Dark, the bike gets an all-black treatment.
The motorcycle sports a matte black paint scheme on its minimalistic bodywork. It continues to get the round LED DRLs in the round headlamp. However, the bezel is now finished in matte-black and is flanked by conventionally-lit turn indicators. Moreover, Ducati has fitted the Scrambler Icon Dark with retro-looking round mirrors in place of the angular units on the other models.
Apart from these changes, the Scrambler Icon Dark remains the same. It comes powered by an 803cc, L-twin motor that produces 74bhp of power and 68Nm of torque. In terms of electronic aids, the motorcycle comes with cornering ABS. The Ducati Scrambler Icon Dark is priced lower than the yellow and orange colours in international markets. It is sure to be launched in India, and we expect it to arrive sometime early next year as the most affordable option in the Scrambler range.
