Ducati has a slew of launches for India in its pipeline, one of which is the Scrambler Urban Motard that is likely to make its debut sometime soon. So before the motorcycle makes its way to our country, let’s tell you all that you need to know about it.
Styling
The Scrambler Urban Motard seems to be inspired by the concrete jungle and comes with a dual-tone Star White Silk and Ducati GP’19 Red with graffiti style graphics on the tank. While nearly every bit of its bodywork is similar to the Scrambler Icon, the Urban Motard gets a high front fender and race-style side number plates that set it apart. That said, it also gets sticky Pirelli Diablo Rosso 3 tyres wrapped around 17-inch spoked wheels to complement its Motard tag.
Features
Just like other Ducati Scrambler models, the Urban Motard sports an LED DRL up front and an LED tail light as well. It also gets cornering ABS, USB socket under the seat and Ducati Multimedia System with the LCD that can connect to a smartphone.
Engine
Powering the Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard is a 803cc, L-twin engine that is capable of churning out 73bhp at 8250rpm and 66.2Nm of torque at 5750rpm. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox.
Hardware
Now, this engine is fitted between a blacked-out tubular-steel trellis frame. Meanwhile, the suspension is handled by 41mm non-adjustable Kayaba springs and a preload-adjustable rear shock. Braking, on the other hand, is done by two, 330mm discs at the front and a 245mm disc at the rear.
Pricing
Well, the pricing for the Scrambler Urban Motard will be revealed only on the day of the launch. However, we can expect it to be priced close to the Scrambler Nightshift which costs Rs 10.56 lakh.
