The Ducati Panigale replacer, the new V4 superbike is expected to be revealed to the world on 7 September. But the interesting bit is that ‘the sound of a new era’ has been finally heard for the first time, thanks to a grainy video on YouTube.
From the video, it is clear that the black prototype has been doing some extensive testing on the race track. While the V4 superbike has been caught plenty of times in pictures, this is the first time the world heard the sound of the upcoming Ducati. The Italian manufacturer has kept this V4 project very close to its chest. In fact, a recent newsletter from the company revealed a teaser which is believed to be of the new V4. Ducati usually likes to reveal its new products at the EICMA show, but the new V4 might come little earlier on 7 September.
There are rumours about Ducati offering the V4 superbike in two versions, a road-going model which is expected to produce close to 210bhp and a homologation model for WSBK races. We’re expecting the road-going model to hit the Indian market early next year, but it will cost a fortune when it is launched.
