- XDiavel BS6 range includes two variants
- Prices start from Rs 18 lakh onwards
- BS6 model makes more power and torque than its predecessor
Ducati India has commenced the deliveries of the newly launched XDiavel Black Star. The first unit of the power cruise was delivered to its owner, Lijin Lal in Kochi. The BS6-compliant variants of the XDiavel range were launched in the Indian market in August 2021. The XDiavel BS6 series comprises two variants in India – Dark and Black Star. The XDiavel Dark has been introduced at Rs 18 lakh while the XDiavel Black Star is available at Rs 22.60 lakh (both ex-showroom, India).
Both variants of the XDiavel range use a BS6-compliant 1,262cc, L-Twin, liquid-cooled ‘Testastretta’ engine. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor delivers 157.8hp of maximum power at 9,500rpm and 127Nm of peak torque at 5,000rpm. The output figures on the BS6 model are 7.89bhp and 1.96Nm higher than the BS4 motorcycle.
While the mechanical specifications are similar, the two motorcycles are distinguished through their colour options and hardware. The XDiavel Black Star comes with a dedicated livery that alternates grey and matte black colours with highlights of red. The XDiavel Dark, on the other hand, features matte black paint.
The XDiavel Black Star comes with adjustable 50mm upside-down front forks with DLC treatment, forged rims painted in gloss black, twin 320mm semi-floating front discs, and Brembo M50 radial mono-bloc callipers. This variant also gets a suede fabric seat and Ducati Multimedia System (DMS) as standard. The Dark version gets adjustable 50mm upside-down front forks, twin 320mm semi-floating front discs, Brembo M4.32 radial mono-bloc callipers, and die-cast wheels in light alloy.
