- Ducati XDiavel BS6 teased ahead of launch
- Euro5-compliant model already available in several markets
- Makes 157.8bhp and 127.4Nm
Ducati has confirmed the launch of a new product in the Indian market. While the company has not stated the product name, the X on the fuel tank hints at the XDiavel (Black Star). Do note that the company has already launched the BS6-compliant Diavel in India.
The Euro5-compliant model (equivalent of BS6 emission norms) is already available in several international markets. The latest iteration of the power cruiser uses a 1,262cc, twin-cylinder engine with the Ducati Testastretta DVT system that produces 157.8bhp of power at 9,500rpm while the peak torque is rated at 127.4Nm at 5,000rpm, which is 7.8bhp and 1.6Nm higher than the Euro4 motorcycle. The company claims that the 2021 Diavel range boasts a smoother delivery curve.
The electronic rider aids on the international-spec XDiavel range, which works with Bosch Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), include Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Riding Modes, Bosch Cornering ABS, Cruise Control, and Ducati Power Launch (DPL).
In terms of design, the motorcycle features a muscular styling. The feature list comprises a sleek LED headlight with LED DRL at the front, a digital instrument cluster, a long fuel tank, a step-up saddle, an engine cowl, a single-sided swingarm, and a rear fender-mounted numberplate. The cruiser-style ergonomics are achieved through a rear-swept handlebar and forward-set footpegs.
