The Desmo Owners Club (D.O.C.) in Mumbai ventured on their first official ride starting from the Ducati dealership in Bandra. The club rode southwards into the city all the way to Nariman Point and ended up at Hard Rock Café at Lower Parel in Mumbai.
The D.O.C. is one of the largest official motorcycle communities in the world with over 200 official clubs and 23,000 registered members. In India, as around the world, the club will also welcome non-Ducati owners passionate about the iconic brand. The Mumbai D.O.C. represents the first in India and the 25th in Asia, where Ducati’s popularity is growing fast.
Ravi Avalur, Managing Director, Ducati India said, “The Desmo Owners Club is intended for Ducati owners but is open also to owners of other brands who are passionate about Ducati. We’re happy to see this community growing and D.O.C.s beginning to expand across India.”
Eight D.O.C. Mumbai members are travelling to the 9th edition of World Ducati Week, at the Misano World Circuit in Italy next joining D.O.C. members and Ducatisti from around to world to celebrate Ducati’s 90th anniversary.
Dr. Ashutosh Palep, President of the Mumbai D.O.C. said: “We are very excited to start the very first Indian Desmo Owners Club in Mumbai. The club is dedicated to bringing together motorcyclists who share a passion for Ducati and riding and focuses heavily on safety so that we promote an enjoyable lifestyle. I look forward to riding with the growing community of Ducatisti in and around Mumbai!”
