At the ongoing EICMA 2015 in Milan, Austrian brand KTM has unveiled a range of new and refreshed motorcycles. Among the latter lot is the 2016 RC390 which has been improved overall and is now ready for Euro4 emission norms.
Design wise, the only noticeable change in the 2016 RC390 is the new aluminium exhaust for Euro4 emission norms. This traditional looking exhaust has replaced the underbelly unit of the current RC390.
Besides making it more environmentally friendly, KTM has also added slipper clutch, ride-by-wire throttle and an ABS system that can be turned off. Additionally, the front disc brake is now bigger at 320mm and the 2016 model also gets adjustable levers. The basic powertrain remains the same that means the 2016 RC390 continues to be powered by a punchy 375cc, single-cylinder engine that develops 44bhp and 35Nm torque.
KTM India is likely to introduce the 2016 RC390 at the Auto Expo early next year. One can expect the India-spec model to feature all of these updates with an expected price hike of around Rs 15,000.
