The Ducati Monster 1200S has got an update for 2017 ahead of the 2016 iteration of the EICMA show in Milan. Among the changes are styling tweaks, compliance with Euro lV emissions norms, and the addition of a comprehensive electronics package.
The 1198cc L-twin engine now generates 150bhp and 126Nm, a 5bhp bump over the previous S. There has also been a focus on smoother power delivery, and the throttle bodies and silencers help achieve that target. A Bosch IMU helps the traction control and wheelie control keep things rubber side down, and cornering ABS makes an appearance as well. Fans will also note that the single-sided swingarm is new, as is the headlight. You can have your Monster 1200S in regular red and black, but if you want a little exclusivity, you can also have it in 'Liquid Grey Concrete' with a black frame and wheels.
Expect an India launch sometime next year.
