The Austrian manufacturer displayed the Vitpilen 401 at the 2017 EICMA. The bike shares its engine with the KTM 390 Duke and is expected to arrive in India next year. Here is the photo gallery of the Vitpilen 401-
The Vitpilen 401 is a neo-retro scrambler-styled motorcycle that gets blacked out cycle parts.
The 401 sports a round instrument console and round LED headlamp unit to boost its scrambler appeal.
It gets clip-on handlebars, giving a more upright riding position. It rides on spoke wheels with road-biased tyres.
The 401 uses a 373cc single cylinder engine which produces 43bhp and 37Nm of torque mated to a six-speed gearbox and slipper clutch.
The bike features 43mm forks upfront and a monoshock at the rear; both WP units.
Braking duties are done by a 320mm disc upfront and a 230mm disc at the rear. ABS is offered as standard.
The bike will be sold as a premium product in India and is expected to go on sale in the first half of 2018.
