Kawasaki believes that there is scope for improvement, no matter how good you are. A testament to this belief is the new Ninja ZX-10R, a sharper and more track-focussed version of the litre-class superbike.
For 2018, Kawasaki has introduced the Ninja ZX-10R SE, a special edition bike which draws inspiration from WSBK race machine. While the standard bike already featured the top-drawer Showa BFF setup, the Ninja ZX-10R SE gets an electronic semi-active system which uses an inertial measurement unit (IMU) and sensors to automatically adjust the suspension settings. Further, the Ninja ZX-10R SE also gets lightweight Marchesini forged alloy wheels and a bi-directional quickshifter.
Overall, the Ninja ZX-10R SE is two kilograms heavier than the standard bike. This is due to the extra weight of the new suspension setup, although some of it offset by the lighter wheels. To set it apart from the standard bike, the bike is painted in a unique black paint scheme with green highlights. We can expect Kawasaki to bring the Ninja ZX-10R SE to the Indian market in very limited numbers.
