The EICMA is the biggest platform for two-wheeler to display their new products and concepts. We list down five of the most anticipated motorcycles expected to be unveiled there.
2018 Honda Africa Twin
Big Red will reveal the 2018 model of the Africa Twin at the EICMA. The bike gets a cosmetic upgrade as well as changes to make it more off-road capable. The Africa Twin which was recently launched in India did well and we can expect the 2018 model to be here by early next year. We have a rough idea about how Honda’s 2018 Africa Twin will be, thanks to their teaser.
Husqvarna Vitpilen 701
The Husqvarna Vitpilen 701 was recently spotted testing in Spain. The Vitpilen is a neo-retro motorcycle, with design elements like that of a café racer. It sports a 690cc engine borrowed from the KTM 690 Duke. We expect its smaller 373cc siblings to arrive in India sometime next year; however the Vitpilen 701 is unlikely to land here anytime soon.
Kawasaki H2 SX
The Ninja H2 SX is Kawasaki’s supercharged tourer motorcycle based on the revolutionary Ninja H2. Although not much is known of the bike, apart from its power output, you wouldn’t have to wait long as the new entrant from Team Green will debut on 7 November.
Ducati Panigale V4
The Ducati Panigale V4 is one of the five bikes that Ducati will unveil at EICMA apart from the new Multistradas, Monster 821 and the Scrambler 1100. However, the Panigale V4 is definitely the most anticipated bike of the lot. It will use the 1103cc V4 that will be the base for future Ducati motorcycles. The bike’s styling is similar to other Panigales although the V4 looks like it’s on steroids.
KTM 790 Duke
The Austrian manufacturer is expected to reveal their 799cc parallel-twin motorcycle in Milan along with the 390 Scrambler and Adventure. The bike boasts of technology that will be first in its class and looks like a mix between the 390 Duke and the 690 Duke, the bike it replaces.
