- Scrambler, Café Racer, Desert, Flat Track showcased
- Based on the XPulse 200
Hero MotoCorp decided to unveil a range of concept bikes at the 2018 EICMA show, along with the global debut of the XPulse 200T – a tourer based on the XPulse 200 adventure bike.
The three concepts in question are the XPulse based Scrambler, Café Racer, Desert and Flat Track. The Scrambler is a modern-retro version of the XPulse which is also off-road ready. It gets a bit of travel on the front forks, sports fork gaiters and off-road tyres. Like most of the Scramblers in the market, the Hero version also gets a high-mounted side exhaust and belly protection. Rest of the cycle parts are identical to the ADV variant.
The Desert concept takes some resemblance from the Ducati Desert Sled. Gets a tall-body design, has a good amount of travel in the front forks and bash plate. It sports an underseat exhaust and a narrower seat.
The Flat Tracker gets a single seat, dual-purpose tyres and a single piece handlebar. This concept was dipped in red and green paint schemes to make it look cool. The XPulse Café Racer concept looks the most enticing of the lot. The bodywork looks production ready and the overall design language is much more convincing. This concept bike is equipped with track tyres, golden front fork tubes and fully digital instrument cluster.
The Gurgaon-based manufacturer didn’t reveal its plans for these concepts, but at least one of them will make it to production.
