Honda showcased the 2019 versions of its middleweight CB500 family – CB500X, CB500F and CB500R. The motorcycles have received several updates which are executed on their engine, features, chassis and styling.
Starting with the naked bike, the CB500X gets new LCD instrument cluster with gear position indicator. It has also received an updated rear shock unit and reworked assist/slipper clutch mechanism. The CB500F, on the other hand, gets longer travel suspension and a new 19-inch front wheel for up-scaled off-road efficiency. This bike has also received minor cosmetic changes.
Coming to the sportsbike, the CB500R has received restyled body panels along with an LED headlamp and tail lamp. It also gets a new LCD instrument cluster. Moreover, the riding position of the motorcycle has gotten more aggressive due to tweaks on the handlebar setup.
All the three motorcycles are powered by the same 500cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 47bhp of power and 43Nm of torque. The unit is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The Honda CB500X, CB500F and CB500R are not sold in India and they aren’t expected to come here anytime soon.
