- Debuted with 1200 Scrambler
Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled its latest TFT connectivity system. This latest technology first debuted at the recently unveiled 1200 Scrambler.
This new TFT display will be available from next year and can be installed on all other Triumph bikes that feature the TFT system. The company claims that this TFT connectivity system is world’s first motorcycle integrated GoPro control system. The rider will be able to capture his riding moments on his ride by connecting their GoPro to the TFT display where it can access and control key GoPro functions through the motorcycle’s TFT instruments and left hand switch cube.
The TFT cluster shows simple graphic icons on the screen, indicating the status of GoPro camera, including mode, start film, stop film, take photo and battery level. This system is compatible with all GoPro cameras from Hero 5 and Session 5 onwards.
This system also sports turn-by-turn navigation system that is powered by Google. This makes Triumph the first premium bike maker to make use of this partnership with Google. This system is compatible with all android and iOS phones. This new system also supports music and phone operation.
This new system will be able with Street Triple R and RS, along with the Speed Triple R & RS. Except the base models of the Tiger 800 and the Tiger 1200, all other variants get this option.
