This startup aims to bring excitement to the motorcycling masses while still retaining green credentials through its electric superbike.
The Emflux Model 1 is a concept that isn’t much difference from any other vehicle hoping to make its way into production, but with a single noteworthy exception: it is Indian. Emflux is a Bengaluru-based startup that aims to bring exciting electric motorcycling to the consciousness of the mainstream buyer.
The Model 1 is a supersport concept motorcycle that will offer the performance of a 600cc motorcycle, and a maximum range of around 200km. That range is similar to the tank range of today’s petrol-powered motorcycles in the class. The motor is a liquid-cooled AC induction unit with 67bhp and 84Nm. Among the features list is a 7-inch TFT colour touchscreen display, sat nav, real-time diagnostics, OTA updates and bike-to-bike connectivity. There is Bluetooth as well, and it can be paired with your smartphone. The Model 1 will also have ABS, making it compliant for sale globally.
Emflux also has plans for a second model called – you guessed it – the Model 2. This will be a streetfighter. The Model 1 is expected to retail at Rs 5-6 lakhs.
