Energica unveiled its third model, the Eva EsseEsse9 at the Consumer Electronics Show in USA. The bike is based on the current Eva and gets a retro-streetfighter design and stance. It sports a round LED-headlamp unit, an edgy yet muscular tank and a café-racer like ribbed seat.
The Eva EsseEsse9 gets a permanent magnet AC electric motor that is powered by a 11.7 kWh lithium polymer battery. This unit produces 108bhp of power and 180Nm of torque. The battery can be charged 80 per cent in 30 minutes and 100 per cent in 3.5 hours. The Energica Eva EsseEsse9 boasts of a top speed of 200kmph.
Energica has equipped the Eva EsseEsse9 with a 4.3 inch full-TFT screen that gets a Bluetooth connection, GPS receiver and even displays the closest charging station when connected to the manufacturer’s mobile app. It also gets four riding modes- Urban, Evo, Rain and Sport.
The bike is expected to cost around $24,000 (Rs 15.34 lakhs) and will get a three-year warranty. Energica will also offer a 50,000 km warranty on the battery. While the Eva EsseEsse9 will be launched in global markets in the next three months, it is unlikely that it will be arriving on Indian shores anytime soon.
