You read it right! Erik Buell Racing is back in action. The company recently posted a news on their official Facebook page talking about plans for new bikes.
The American manufacturer has announced that it’s readying a new motorcycle for 2017. It’ll be an urban street motorcycle that is quick, dark and low. Other than this, EBR also talked about a new motorcycle that will be launched in 2018. This will be based on a new motorcycle platform, which will be a sub - $10,000 (Rs Rs 6.7 lakh) one.
While we know that a couple of months ago EBR shut its operations, but this new development comes as a shocker. It will be interesting to see this new motorcycle platform, considering the fact that they could use the potent 1190 platform. EBR went on to say that the American market will see updated bikes this week making us believe that it will be the RX and the SX sport bikes. There was an 1190 AX adventure bike in the making as well, but there isn’t any information on that at this point of time. EBR also plans to showcase a couple of prototypes at various shows in US – a way to gain trust from the American manufacturer.
We’re keeping a close watch on EBR developments. Stay tuned as we bring you more details.
