- Available in three variants – S, Dark, and Black Star
- Euro5-compliant engine makes 7.8bhp and 1.6Nm more than the Euro4 model
- Complete series gets three dedicated personalisation packages
Ducati has revealed the Euro5-compliant version of its cruiser motorcycle, the XDiavel in the second episode of the Ducati World Première web series. Along with the Euro5 version, the company also announced two new variants of the motorcycle – the XDiavel Dark and the XDiavel Black Star.
Mechanical specifications on the entire 2021 range include a 1,262cc, twin-cylinder engine with Ducati Testastretta DVT system. To comply with the new European emissions standard, Ducati has added an updated silencer layout and a new engine calibration. The peak power output from the Euro5-compliant motor is rated at 157.8bhp at 9,500rpm while the maximum torque stands at 127.4Nm at 5,000 rpm. The updated motor makes 7.8bhp and 1.6Nm more than the Euro4 model. Ducati claims that the 2021 range boasts a smoother delivery curve.
The new XDiavel Dark variant comes with a matte black colour along with a total black livery to the mechanical components, plates, and finishes. The new XDiavel Black Star, on the other hand, features livery and equipment that are inspired by the world of sports cars. The dedicated livery alternates matte grey and black with touches of red. The Black Star version also gets red engine head covers and suede fabric for the seat. Ducati will offer three dedicated personalisation packages for the complete XDiavel series – Sport, Touring and Urban.
The XDiavel range is also equipped with the Bosch Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) which works together with Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Riding Modes, Bosch Cornering ABS, Cruise Control, and Ducati Power Launch (DPL).
The new Ducati XDiavel range should arrive to the Indian market, although the company is yet to announce a launch timeline.
