The European-spec 2016 KTM RC390 has been spotted testing in India. This motorcycle was globally unveiled at the 2015 EICMA Show in Milan. The motorcycle is likely going through its final phase of testing before being launch.
The Euro-spec model comes equipped with a slipper clutch, ride-by-wire throttle and a bigger 320mm front disc brake. The updates also include a fuel tank vapour recovery system, always-on headlamps, upgraded radiator fans, new ECU mounts, redesigned pillion seat assembly, enhanced paint quality and stronger alloy wheels. It has also got a new exhaust canister instead of the underbelly unit, to make the motorcycle Euro IV compliant.
Mechanically, the new KTM RC390 is identical to the previous model. It is powered by a 375cc single-cylinder engine, which delivers 44bhp and 35Nm torque through a six-speed transmission. However, for the Indian market, KTM has not introduced ride-by-wire throttle, 320mm front disc brake and the side mounted new exhaust.
