- Likely to get pillion seat as an accessory
- Will feature white-walled tyres
- To use the same J-series, 349cc engine
We have come across the patent images of the upcoming Royal Enfield Classic 350 Bobber. This design patent reveals many details about the forthcoming 350cc bike and here is all we know about it.
From the previous spy shots and the newly leaked design patent, it's quite evident that the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Bobber will feature many new elements that distinguish it from the current Classic 350.
While earlier spy shots indicate a single-seat setup, in true Bobber style, these patents show that the Classic 350 Bobber will get the option of a dual-seat setup as well. This is similar to what we’ve seen with the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 as well. One can attach a removable rear subframe to the bike which accommodates the pillion seat. Moreover, the pillion seat should be removable and could also double up the subframe as a tail rack.
Even the split grab rail is something we haven’t seen on the current Royal Enfield bikes. Notably, the ape-hanger handlebar further complements the Bobber 350’s styling. The unit is taller than the current flat one on the Classic 350 and should offer a slightly relaxed rider triangle.
A closer look also reveals the white-walled tyres shod with the spoke wheels. These are purely for aesthetic purposes and enhance the Bobber’s appearance.
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 Bobber will have the same, 349cc, J-series engine that it has been using for the current lineup – Classic 350, Bullet 350, Hunter 350, and Meteor 350. The unit makes 20.2bhp with 27Nm and is linked to a five-speed gearbox.
You can expect features like bulb illumination, an analogue console with an LCD inset, dual-channel ABS, and a probable Tripper-Navigation dial as well. Apart from that, the hardware includes telescopic front forks, and dual rear shocks, along with a front and rear disc brake setup.
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 Bobber will be more aspirational than the current 350 offering and could be priced around Rs. 2.30 lakh (ex-showroom). This will position it above the Meteor 350 too.
