- New Scram 440 ready to be launched
- LS443 engine is ready
- Will get new paint schemes
Royal Enfield is having a super busy year. After launching and unveiling a host of new motorcycles this year, the company is all set to have an aggressive start to 2025 by launching a new scrambler.
The company will launch the Scram 440 which will replace the Scram 411 that has been on sale for the last three years. This new motorcycle will get revised styling, along with a host of new colour options.
The Scram 440 will be powered by a bored-out engine based on the 411cc single-cylinder engine that powers the Scram 411. This new engine will displace 443cc and will churn out marginally more power of 25bhp at 6250rpm. In comparison, the Scram 411 motor makes 24bhp at 6500rpm. The torque is likely to be marginally higher too. The five-speed gearbox will be left untouched.
Royal Enfield has also reworked some parts of the chassis to make it a bit easier in the city. However, the rest of the cycle parts will be carried forward from the Scram 411. To make the Scram 440 a bit more aspirational, Royal Enfield is likely to give it a revised instrument cluster. But it is unlikely to get the TFT screen that is seen on the Himalayan 450.
The new Scram 440 will be launched in India in the first half of 2025 and will be priced at around Rs 2.10 lakh – Rs 2.20 lakh (ex-showroom).
