According to our sources, Suzuki India is gearing up to launch the V-Strom 800DE in India in February 2024, which is next month. The Japanese brand will bring its ADV offering to our country as a CKD product and its bookings will commence the same day as its official launch.
The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE was spotted testing in India a few months ago. Moreover, it is already on sale internationally and we know its specifications as well. Suzuki has equipped the V-Strom800DE with a 776cc, twin-cylinder engine that makes 83bhp and 78Nm and is linked to a six-speed gearbox.
The motor is nestled in a steel chassis that is suspended on fully adjustable Showa USD front forks and a rear monoshock. Then, the braking hardware includes dual front discs and a single rear disc mounted on a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheel combo wrapped in Dunlop Trailmax Mixtour tyres.
Suzuki will offer the V-Strom 800DE with features such as LED illumination, five-inch TFT, traction control, ride-by-wire, low RPM assist, bi-directional quickshifter, ABS, ride modes, and more. Overall, the V-Strom 800DE is a thoroughbred adventure motorcycle with a tall stance and a rugged build. We also expect the Japanese manufacturer to offer accessories, including the panniers, top box, and more with the V-Strom 800DE.
Suzuki India is likely to price the V-Strom 800DE at around Rs. 10 lakh – Rs. 11 lakh (ex-showroom) and it will rival the Triumph Tiger 900 and the Honda Transalp.
