DSK Benelli shocked everyone with the aggressive dealership expansion that resulted in very good sales performance. Now, the company is gearing up to update its motorcycles.
At the time of the TNT 25 launch, Shirish Kulkarni, Chairman, DSK Group, said that the antilock-braking system units (ABS) are almost ready and are in the final rounds of testing at Benelli’s R&D facility in Italy. Now we’ve learned from our sources that the company will showcase the ABS versions of the TNT 600i and the TNT 600GT at the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo. The reason Benelli chose these two bikes are because of their displacement and also for the reason that the 600i is doing really well in the Indian market.
With the addition of the ABS unit, Benelli wants to cater to a wider customer base. It is still unclear if the company plans to sell the non-ABS version alongside the ABS ones. We’ll know once the bike is unveiled at the biennial motoring event. However, DSK Benelli will launch the bikes only in the middle of the current calendar year. We're expecting prices of the ABS models to be Rs 25,000 over the current ones.
