Everyone knows Ferrari for the kind of beautiful and powerful sports cars it makes and yes, not everyone can afford to own this. But if you want to own a Ferrari, you can skip the four-wheeled version for the two-wheeled.
Ferrari is exploring the possibility of developing a V-twin motorcycle that could make it to commercial operations in the next few years as per a recent patent submitted by the Italian company. The patent covers the specific design of an internal combustion engine having two cylinders, which are arranged in a 'V' configuration. However, there is no mention of a motorcycle in the patent , making us believe that Ferrari is at an initial stage in this new project.
Looks like Ferrari wants to go with the industry flow where there are various collaborations taking place between car and motorcycle manufacturers. Few months ago Audi bought Ducati and now there are rumours about a minority stake sale by MV Agusta to Mercedes-AMG. These collaborations help companies share their resources, research and development and also help them take care of economies of scale.
