- First batch comprised 101 units
- 2021 model priced at Rs 16.40 lakh
- Next batch likely to arrive soon
All 101 units from the first batch of the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa have been sold out within a week of its launch. The buyers of the first batch also received a complementary rear seat cowl. The second batch of the motorcycles is likely to arrive soon, although the official details are unavailable yet.
The motorcycle was launched in the Indian market on 26 April, 2021 at a competitive price tag of Rs 16.40 lakh (ex-showroom, India), making it about Rs 2.65 lakh more expensive than its predecessor. For the price premium, the 2021 model gets several major upgrades over the old model. The new model benefits from features such as full-LED lighting, an LCD screen, and a revised design.
The 2021 Hayabusa retains the 1,340cc inline-four motor, although it has received upgrades to comply with the newest emission norms. Linked to a six-speed transmission, the engine now produces 187.7bhp of power and 150Nm of peak torque.
The new Suzuki Hayabusa rivals the likes of Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX in the Indian market.
