Several spy shots over the last week has spoiled Honda’s big reveal of the upcoming CBR1000RR. However, that has not stopped the company from releasing its first teaser episode for the upcoming supersport superbike.
From the batch of spy shots that had leaked, the new Honda CBR1000RR looks to be an evolution of the current model rather than a major overhaul. The bike stays true to CBR design philosophy, with the fairing drawing inspiration from the Light Weight Super Sports concept. The front gets LED lamps to keep it on par with the current crop of litre-class superbikes. Obviously, Honda has reworked the engine for more power while meeting the Euro4 emissions.
Honda has launched a dedicated website for its upcoming models which are expected to hit the market in 2017. The first teaser or episode called, “Total control” is set in the United States at Thunderhill Raceway Park and all it reveals is a glimpse of the CBR tyre. The video also gives us an official reveal date in the end, October 4 2016 – the first day of the INTERMOT show.
