Honda 2Wheelers India has announced that the first lot of the BS6-compliant Gold Wing Tour has been sold out. The Indian arm of the Japanese manufacturer stated that the motorcycle was sold out within 24 hours of booking open announcement. The company, however, has not revealed the total number of units that were sold in the first lot.
The latest iteration of the luxury tourer was launched in the Indian market on 16 June, 2021 with prices starting from Rs 37,20,342. The manual transmission variant has been priced at Rs 37,20,342 while the DCT model is listed at Rs 39,16,055 (both prices are ex-showroom, India). The manual transmission variant is offered in Pearl Glare White paint while DCT model is available in Gunmetal Black Metallic with Matte Morion Black.
The premium feature list on the 2021 model includes an a seven-inch TFT-screen, gyrocompass navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, upgraded audio and speaker system, and Smart Key operation. The electronic rider aids include four riding modes (Tour, Sport, Econ, and Rain), Hill Start Assist, ABS, Honda Selectable Torque Control, Dual Combined Brake System, and Idling Stop (only in DCT variant).
The mechanical specifications on the BS6-compliant models include a 1,833cc, flat-six, liquid-cooled engine that produces 124.7bhp of power at 5,500rpm and 170Nm of peak torque at 4,500rpm. The motorcycle is available with a choice of two gearbox options – six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT.
