The first round of Honda One Make Race has concluded at the Kari Motor Speedway this weekend. Honda Racing had organised the races under the umbrella of MMSC FMSCI National Motorcycle Racing Championship 2017.
The Honda CBR 250R Open Championship's first round concluded with Rajiv S. grabbing the first spot in both the races of the One Make Series. Rajiv is the same rider who had shown a spectacular performance at the last season of Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC). The second position in the first race was clinched by Amit Richard from Ranchi, and the third position was taken by B. Aravind. Abhishek V. and Kishore V S claimed the second and third spot respectively in the second race.
The Honda CBR 150R Novice Championship saw a participation of 40 riders from all over India. Satya Narayana from Hyderabad finished both the races with an impressive victory as the race leader. Following the leader in Race 1 were Syed Nawas from Chennai in the second spot and Vysakh Sobhan from Kerala in third position. Riders from Bangalore completed the podium in Race 2 as Amala Jerald scored second position, while Aditya Rao came close third.
Girls too excelled in the sport with participation of eight women riders in the Honda's exclusive Ladies Race. They competed on the Honda CBR 150R motorcycles. Rehana Reya finished with a podium spot of number 1, while Shruti and Kalyani Potekar claimed the second and third position respectively.
This was Honda Racing's tenth year at the Indian National Motorcycle Championship. The latter is a good platform for nurturing upcoming talents in motorcycle sport. Likewise, Honda has done a good job by supporting many budding riders by sponsoring and training them for these races.
