Here are spy shots of the upcoming all-new Triumph Street Triple. The naked motorcycle is expected to get many changes to the visuals as well the mechanicals. It will receive updates providing it with more power and technology similar to the all-new Speed Triple.
The prototype bike was spied on the road outside Triumph’s test facility in the United Kingdom. The motorcycle seems to be undergoing its final stage of road testing revealing many details.
One of the biggest changes to this bike is the new engine which, r is quite evident from the images. The new engine is expected to take the power up from 100bhp to 110bhp as a result of both a slightly wider bore and a longer stroke. The advantages of increasing capacity in this way is that the engine doesn’t lose the nicely rounded road manners that has made the Street Triple 675 such a hit since it was first introduced in 2007.
Other changes to the bike include a new swingarm, updated brakes (in this case the R model gets Brembo radially-mounted calipers) and we can see the same twin lights and incorporated ram air scoop as seen on the Speed Triple 1050.
There'll be four versions of the new Street Triple - the standard version, the Street Triple R, the Street Triple RT and the Street Triple RS. These details were revealed through a buyer’s survey sent out last year asking potential owners about their preferences for the machine and listing some details for the upcoming Street Triple. Out of all these models and if this rumour is true, the Street Triple RT could be the name of this touring version.
