Forma Ice Pro Flow Boots Review
After 3 years of use, the SIDI B2 boots had to retire, at least from the official ride and shoots. And that means, I had place for a new pair. The search for the new pair wasn’t a difficult one. After some internet search and a few calls to the friends in the fraternity, I decided to purchase the Forma Ice Pro Flow boots. It’s slightly on the expensive side, but there’s a reason for it, which you will see it below.
The Ice Pro Flow is known for its MotoGP level protection and comfort. It gets a host of features that makes it special and quite enticing. There are three things that made me go for this pair of boots. Firstly, it’s extremely ventilated. It gets an air intake system that makes sure the foot gets the required air circulation . The air enters through the lateral vents and exits from the vented heel cup. This system also does the job of circulating air within the boots. The Ice Pro Flow also gets a vented slider which is easy to replace.
The second fancy feature is the Flex Control System. This feature allows the rider to move his feet front and back, with ease and without losing out on any protection. This is done through an articulated brace which is anti-scratch. It also gets an anti-torsion system that controls side-to-side flexing. The third major highlight of these boots is the rear pump ratchet closure. There’s a plastic strap that goes inside the ratchet and locks itself.
There are other bits like flexible dust and insect-proof plastic collar, replaceable front fastening closure and heel gripper insert. It also sports double density anti-slip race compound sole.
The Forma Ice Pro Flow retails at Rs 21,000 and is available in one colour, blue, at least in the Indian market. These boots will be my companion for all future rides and shoots. Stay tuned to BikeWale as we will bring to you a detailed review of these riding boots in the next few months.
