The road going version of the TVS Akula 310 concept, which was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo has been spotted testing for the fourth time. However, all previous spy shots were either blurry or unrevealing. This time around, the entire motorcycle is on display below all of the heavy cladding.
What comes as a surprise is that TVS is keeping the quite close to its BMW counterpart as possible. TVS is even going as far as keeping the colour of the front forks and the wheel design identical to the BMW G310R. Additionally, the motorcycle is keeping most of its styling and features headlights in place of the air ducts it had cut out on the concept motorcycle.
The Akula has been built on the BMW G310R platform. It gets a liquid cooled 313cc single cylinder petrol mill mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. The BMW developed engine develops 34bhp of power and 28Nm of torque. The concept also got adjustable suspension, a steering damper to stress on its track focus, which mostly won’t make it to the road-ready version.
We can expect TVS to launch this super sport motorcycle shortly after BMW launches the G310R.
