- Race-spec TVS Apache RR 200 revealed
- Features a full-fairing design
- Gets TVS Racing livery and adjustable suspension
TVS Motor Company has revealed the race-spec, fully-faired Apache RR 200 that will be used in the TVS One Make Championship racing competition. The track-only motorcycle features several upgrades over the standard Apache RTR 200 4V.
The styling, for example, includes a full-fairing design and a tall windscreen at the front for better aerodynamics. Being a track-only motorcycle, the Apache RR 200 sheds street-legal hardware such as headlight, taillight, turn indicators, and rear-view mirrors.
Mechanical specifications include a 197.8cc, four-stroke, four-valve, SOHC oil and air-cooled engine that is linked to a five-speed transmission. The company has not revealed the power and torque output numbers. The motorcycle also benefits from an adjustable suspension setup, TVS Racing livery, race ergonomics, and special component tyres from TVS Eurogrip.
It will be interesting to see if this race-spec Apache RR 200 will spawn a street-legal motorcycle that will be a budget-friendly alternative to the Apache RR 310. If launched, the Apache RR 200 will rival the likes of KTM RC200 and the Bajaj RS200. Do note that TVS Motor Company has made no comments about the road-legal Apache RR 200 yet.
